This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on HypOwt, what each is for, and how you can control them. We keep the list short: we do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, do the same job. Some are essential for a site to work; others are optional and need your consent.

Analytics (optional)
With your consent, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which posts are popular. Cloudflare describes it as privacy-first: it does not use cookies or fingerprint visitors. It is off until you allow it. If you decline, the connection that reports statistics is blocked.
Other services that load with the site
These are not cookies, but they involve your browser contacting another company, so we tell you about them:
- Google Fonts serves the fonts used on the site, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Gravatar serves author photos and comment avatars using a hash of an email address.
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and may set its own strictly necessary security cookie.
Managing your choices
- Use the Cookie settings button above, or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, to change your analytics choice at any time.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
