HypOwt (“we”, “us”, hypowt.com) is a blog about entertainment, travel, lifestyle, food, sports and news. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, who else receives it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short because we collect very little.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why
- Comments. If you comment, we store your name, email address (never published), the comment itself, your IP address and your browser details. The IP address and browser details are used to detect spam. If you tick the box under the comment form, your name and email are also saved in cookies on your device for a year so you do not have to retype them.
- Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you and to handle your request.
- Security and server logs. Like every website, our servers and our delivery network record technical data such as your IP address, browser, the page requested and the time. We use this to keep the site secure and running.
- Anonymous statistics (only with your consent). If you allow it, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and popular pages. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first: it does not use cookies or fingerprint individual visitors. If you decline, the analytics connection is blocked.
- Your cookie choices. We store a small cookie on your device that remembers the choices you make in our cookie banner, so we do not ask you on every visit.
We do not run advertising, we do not sell personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Who else receives data
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and, with your consent, provides the anonymous statistics described above.
- Google Fonts. The fonts on this site are loaded from Google’s servers, so your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
- Gravatar (Automattic). Author photos and comment avatars are requested from Gravatar using a hash of the person’s email address.
- Antispam Bee, the spam filter we use on comments, runs on our own server.
These providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your country. We share personal data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Cookies
Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and similar technology we use. You can change your choices at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Legal bases
Where laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply, we rely on your consent (analytics, saving your comment details) and on our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure, preventing spam and replying to messages you send us.
How long we keep data
- Comments and their details stay until you ask us to remove them or we delete the comment.
- Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request.
- Server and security logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting and delivery providers.
- The cookie that remembers your cookie choices lasts six months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it erased, withdraw consent you gave, object to certain processing, and complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through “Cookie settings”.
Children
HypOwt is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the site and the data we hold, but no system on the internet is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
